二十世纪福克斯(Twentieth Century Fox)的家庭娱乐部门将于今天宣布，与中国最大的合法DVD发行商中凯文化集团(Zoke Culture Group)达成了一项分销合作协议。二十世纪福克斯是新闻集团(News Corp)旗下的电影公司。

The home entertainment arm of News Corp film studio Twentieth Century Fox will today announce a distribution partnership with China's biggest legitimate DVD producer, Zoke Culture Group.

The deal marks the first serious effort by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to sell its DVDs in China, a large and fast-growing market for western films but one dominated by providers of low-cost pirated discs.

Fox's decision to work through Zoke signals a new willingness to adjust the high-price, slow-release model that it and other studios use to sell DVDs in major markets such as the US, Europe and Japan.

News of the exclusive partnership came as News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch completed a visit to China during which he met the top propaganda official of the ruling Communist party.
